Keystone Masters Tournament: Meet the Competitors
The time is upon us for the official Keystone Masters Tournament to commence! Last week, 37 teams competed in Time Trials to snag a coveted top 8 spot. This weekend, the top 8 teams will compete to win from a prize pool of Bnet balance, a 3 month Raidbots Premium subscription, a 6 month Raider.IO Exalted subscription, and a whole lot of glory.

Gingi: Our biggest key strengths in our team are our consistency and our calm atmosphere when we’re under pressure. We play well when it matters and I’m proud of my team for that. Our biggest weaknesses are our high standards and being so hard on ourselves to a point where anything but winning is not good enough. Taking a loss hits us very hard, so being better losers is something we could work on.
Gingi: Method NA has consistently been right on our backs. They are definitely our biggest rivals, which makes us push even harder.
Gingi: We go into all maps with the same mindset. I don’t think we have a strong or a weak map to be honest.
Gingi: Naowh accidently Skystepping in Atal’Dazar on his way to his snap spot and ends up jumping to a completely different snap spot, saying, “It’s fine” while there are saurids and explosives all over the place LOL.

Jdotb: The key strength and weakness of Method NA are related—we're able to come up with some fiendishly quick routes, but we also tend to maybe overdo it at times and get too cute.
Jdotb: Obviously, people are going to associate Method EU and Method NA because we share an organization, but we've played against Gromnak Waiting Room (formerly known as Abrakeydabra) so many times in Cups that it's hard not to feel like, historically, our series with them have been the most back-and-forth.
Jdotb: If there's one thing we've learned from our time in MDI it's that we can always find a way to throw a dungeon, so I don't know that any of them feel safe.
Jdotb: The most unforgettable moment in the KSM Time Trials was finally having the Engineering battle res backfire and kill me. I've seen that item used hundreds of times on live servers and never had that happen and, honestly, I kind of assumed that it just couldn't happen in Mythic+. But now we know better.

Ashine: Our biggest weakness is Divinefield’s Twilight Devastation RNG. He just never seems to be able to proc it at the right times. On a more serious note, our biggest weakness is probably just spending less time practicing than some other teams. Our strength is that we have a lot of Mythic+ tournament experience between the members of the team as well as a laid-back friendly atmosphere where we can discuss problems and how to fix them in a constructive manner.
Ashine: Our biggest competition is Method EU. They are an insanely talented team with very good strategies. There is a reason why they went almost undefeated in the whole MDI season of 2019. As for our biggest rival, I’d say Method NA just because we’ve faced off against each other so many times, going back and forth. Usually, the matches between us just come down to which team clowns the least, for some reason.
Ashine: I think we are fairly comfortable with most of the dungeons. The only ones that worry us a little bit are the Time Trial maps due to +1 keystone level and Mechagon: Junkyard because it is a new dungeon and there are a lot of different routes you can make. It will be interesting to see which team comes up with the best pathing.

Petko: Most of our strengths come from the ability to recover and salvage any and every pull if not executed “by-the-book”. The constant high-key slow pace environment practiced during the whole BFA expansion provided us with the ability to make swift decisions on-the-fly if something goes off the rails. Our biggest weakness is having inconsistency in the execution of the pulls and practice runs we do prior to each Time Trial or Cup match. Sometimes, we shoot for the stars and we fail, but we always say: “Go big or go home.”
Petko: I don’t think there is any specific team that we are afraid of, but I believe they are plenty good teams out there, with the most well known being the two Method teams who have been dominating Mythic+ for the past couple of seasons. Any team can be potentially dangerous if they put in the time and practice, but, at the end of the day, everyone is human and everyone has emotions, which are things that might crack some holes even in the best teams.
Petko: I think we are confident in every dungeon that the tournament has offered us and so far since we have put in the time to practice every scenario. We hardly have any concerns about specific dungeons, but Junkyard is the one that took us longer than the usual amount of time we’re accustomed to spending per dungeon.
Petko: There are so many memories and, if I’d had the time this week, I would have given you detailed examples for each and one. I’d say the most memorable moments were our team wipes due to an inability to handle certain big pulls. For example, in the Underrot, we practiced pulling the whole room around Cragmaw and we always blamed our healer (Bobby) for it going wrong. So if we make a mistake and we die, we say “Bobbbbby? One heal or?” That's the usual excuse and it cracks me everytime time I say it.

Trell: I think our teammates all have good survival instincts when things go wrong. Oftentimes, some little thing will happen in a pull that wasn’t meant to happen and the group needs to figure out a solution instantly before they all die. Obviously we will never mess up because we are perfect but if we hypothetically did then it will work out!
Trell: Our rival is 100% The Boys. Rads and I are both similar tank players and have known each other for a while now. Petko is a silly shaman and Bob is a good lad. We play them in our first round, so we are pumped.
Trell: As a tank player, I am just so happy that I get to deal with Necrotic in 2 out of the 3 dungeons in round one. Our best dungeon is definitely Seat of the Triumvirate, and will be using our corrupted token to counter-pick that against our rivals The Boys. This seems like a trap, so hopefully they don’t read this interview to know it will be Seat.
Trell: Nerf (Phu’s brother) who is a good friend of ours and a previous MDI Blizzcon finalist has been filling in and subbing for players when they are out to help us practice more. He sits in town on his half-nude Kul Tiran male character named “coach” and harrasses the locals. Listen to Coach.
Trell: We would probably be the gif of the girl trying to do math but ending up really confused. That is us when it comes to having the right gear and enchants on.

Fem: Our strength is probably our chill environment in practice—sometimes to the point of having too much silliness and not actually being productive with our limited time. A weakness of ours is waking up/being on time for our practice, because we usually schedule something around 15:00 and actually start playing an hour or so later.
Fem: Since we’re playing vs Gromnak Waiting Room first, we’d probably say they are our biggest rivals. Seeing as it’s a single elimination bracket, we’ve been focusing on this match more than usual. All we’d like to say to them is good luck in Shrine of the Storm :)
Fem: We’ve definitely been focusing on the first match during our limited practice time, so Shrine/Workshop/Atal would probably be our stronger ones, but everything is a 50/50 when you play 4 obelisks with last boss. Either it works or it doesn’t.
Fem: Probably the usual Atal snapping and falling down. The worst part is that I’m not even the one who fell down the most.

Jacob: Strength: Our name. Weakness: Everything, but especially our name.
Jacob: I have respect for every team—they are composed of true gamers. We are facing Method NA in our first match, so I would consider them our biggest competition. We have to get through that match first before I can look at another team. If I were to say something to them, it would be: “Good luck and go easy on us.”
Jacob: We’re confident with Kings’ Rest because it was one of the Time Trial keys. I am concerned about the 3rd match in our series (Shrine of the Storm) because we won’t have any time to practice it.
Jacob: Having to mail keys to other characters while practicing because you couldn’t delete keys.

Seliandrá: The key strength in our group is our focus damage. Most of the time, we have a heavy cleave-oriented group composition and nearly everyone provides single-target gain while cleaving and that's what we use to our advantage.
Seliandrá: In my opinion, Mechagon: Workshop in our bracket is our best dungeon because we most likely perform way better in single-target-oriented dungeons than in cleave-oriented dungeons.
Seliandrá: In a Tyrannical Waycrest Manor key, I killed our Enhancement Shaman (Elbroiblo) with a Twilight Devastation proc while he was mind-controlled, so the boss bugged out and the healing debuff never dropped.

Gingi Denmark
Team Captain Gingi (Mike) is 25 years old from Denmark. He and his team are the champions of the MDI 2019 which took place at BlizzCon this past November. He raids in Method, the world second guild in Ny’alotha and world first guild in many previous tiers. 
Naowh Sweden
Naowh (Robin) is a Swedish, 26 year old “elite alpha male” dedicated professional PvE gamer. He has been in Method EU since Legion and has found success ever since. Naowh is maining a Protection Warrior in the tournament, but knows how to show off a good “floorpov” on any tanking class.
Zaelia Denmark
Zaelia (Kenn) is 25 years old from Denmark. He is the healer for Method EU and raids in Method. Zaelia also played Heroes of the Storm professionally with Team Dignitas for 2 years before returning to WoW and focusing on Mythic+. 
Meeres Germany
Meeres (Marc) is 21 years old and lives in Germany. He currently raids in Method and is last season’s Mythic+ BlizzCon MDI Champion. Method NA
Jdotb USA
Team Captain Jdotb (JB) is the healer for Method NA. He lives in Kansas City and just turned 35 years old. He has been playing WoW since Vanilla and healing since The Burning Crusade. While he spent some time raiding in Blood Legion in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, he has focused primarily on Mythic+ ever since its release in Legion. JB primarily plays Restoration Druid, but will follow the meta wherever it takes him, even if that means playing a “filthy Paladin”.
Lightee USA
Lightee has competed in the MDI with Method NA ever since the first MDI LAN in Legion. He has also been a member of Complexity Limit since early 2018 and has been tanking for their raid team since Battle of Dazar’alor. 
Lipp USA
Lipp (Zach) is 25 years old from Utah. He has been raiding in Complexity Limit for the past 3 years and started raiding hardcore 5 years ago. He mainly plays Retribution Paladin on live servers, but also plays whatever class is flavor-of-the-month for raid progression. For this tournament, Lipp may be playing a wide range of classes and specs, but mostly Retribution Paladin, Beast Mastery Hunter, or Havoc Demon Hunter. 
Shakib Canada
Shakib is 20 years old from Canada. He is currently part of the Method organization for MDI, and raids in Complexity Limit, where he recently achieved a world first victory in Ny’alotha. Shakib has been maining Demon Hunter on live servers and Death Knight/Demon Hunter for the Tournament.
Yoda USA
Yoda is from New York. He is maining a Demon Hunter and Rogue for both the tournament and on live servers. He also enjoys playing Protection Warrior for live key pushing. Yoda and his Method NA squad took second place at the BlizzCon MDI 2019. VitaminP: What are some key strengths and weaknesses of your team that we should look out for?

Gromnak Waiting Room
Ashine Finland
Team Captain Lari ‘Ashine’ Strandberg is 25 years old and was born and raised in Finland. He has been playing WoW for over a decade and mainly plays melee DPS in both raids and Mythic+. In the Keystone Masters tournament, he will be playing mostly Demon Hunter and Rogue. All but the very first MDI, Ashine has competed in every MDI tournament, placing 1st in the 2018 LAN and 3rd in both the 2019 Summer LAN as well as BlizzCon 2019. 
Divinefield Denmark
Divinefield (Rasmus) is 24 years old from Denmark. Divinefield primarily plays Protection Warrior, Protection Paladin, and Blood Death Knight. He played Arms/Fury Warrior until Warlords of Draenor where he made the switch from DPS to tank. After the first MDI in Legion, he decided to compete and has been doing so ever since. Divinefield won the 2nd Legion MDI in 2018 and placed 3rd in the BFA Blizzcon MDI in 2019. 
Zmok Denmark
Zmok is 24 years old from Denmark. He has mained many healing classes in Mythic+ over the last few seasons of BFA, but mostly focuses on Restoration Druid and Holy Paladin on live servers and Mistweaver Monk for tournaments and speedruns. Zmok placed 3rd in the MDI 2019 at BlizzCon this past November. Outside of WoW, his hobbies include going to the gym, hanging out with friends, or going to a trampoline center.Swag Germany
Swag (Lam) is 24 years old from Germany. Swag mained a Warrior until Legion where he made the switch to Hunter and now mains Rogue. Swag also plays Windwalker Monk and Havoc Demon Hunter. Swag has participated in every MDI since Legion and recently placed 3rd in the BlizzCon MDI in November 2019. 
Wolfdisco Sweden
Wolfdisco (Linus) is 23 years old from Sweden. Wolfdisco raids in FatSharkYes, where he has raided since Uldir farm. Wolfdisco has mained Shadow Priest, Mage, and Warlock in BFA and Warrior in Legion. In the Keystone Master’s tournament, he will be playing Death Knight, but also Rogue for a few dungeons. Wolfdisco has competed in every MDI tournament since Legion and played at both the Australia LAN and BlizzCon 2019. The Boys
Petko Bulgaria
Team Captain Petko, also known as “Nerreus”, is the Guild Master and Raid Leader for The Boys. Petko fell in love with Mythic+ in the beginning of BFA and became ranked the overall #1 player in Season 2 and #1 Ranged DPS player in Season 3. Outside of the game, he is a regular 23 year old guy that works part-time and just finished his Master’s Degree in Finance.
Rads Bulgaria
Rads (Radostin) is 24 years old from Bulgaria. Rads, otherwise known as Radsgf (previously named Radsangerygf), plays the tank role for both the Mythic+ and raid teams called The Boys. Rads finished both Season 2 (Protection Warrior) and Season 3 (Brewmaster Monk) as the #1 tank and is currently maining Protection Warrior in Season 4 and the KSM tournament. With a number of years of World of Warcraft experience, he finds the most pleasure in either pushing high Mythic+ keys on live servers, or competing in a fast-paced, MDI-like environment. 
Gigabob Sweden
Gigabob (Erik Ramqvist) is a 27 year old gamer from Sweden. He has participated in Mythic+ since its origin in Legion. He is a raider in The Boys and was the rank 1 healer in Mythic+ of Season 3. Outside of WoW, he has a degree in Game Design.
Demonchaya Romania
Demonchaya is a 26 year old born in Romania, though he has been living in Germany for over a decade. Most of his in-game time is consumed by running/shotcalling high keys and having fun in smooth, and chill yet competitive game environments. Outside of Azeroth adventures, he enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and cooking. He also works a part-time job in the IoT sector.
Naladra Germany
Naladra (Ardalan) is 32 years old. He is Persian, but was born in Germany. He has been playing with Petko, Rads, and Demonchaya for the past 2 years. He has mained a Rogue (his very first character) for the past 15 years. Naladra finished Season 3 as the overall rank 1 DPS in Mythic+. Outside of WoW, he enjoys travelling the world, playing basketball, and hanging with friends. He believes in a fine line between real life and gaming, as finding a balance will create the perfect harmony.VitaminP: What are some key strengths and weaknesses of your team that we should look out for?

Inertia
Trell USA
Team Captain Trell (Jeremy) is 27 years old from Dallas, Texas. Trell is a multiclass tank player who mains Brewmaster Monk on live servers. He is an experienced captain and Mythic+ player who competed in the 2019 MDI season. As a previous winner of Keystone Masters, Trell has been a supporter of KSM from the very beginning. Trell is also one of the hosts and co-creators of the Titanforge Podcast and a guide writer for Peak of Serenity and Wowhead.
Phu USA
Phu is 29 years old and works full-time as a Financial Analyst. He is a multiclass healer who has been playing WoW since 2006. He primarily plays Druid, but can ultimately flex to any class. He is the older brother to the great Nerftank and wants you to know that, yes, his name is actually Phu in real life. 
Drazz USA
Drazz is a multi-class raider for a top US Guild, DPS player in top Mythic+ keys, and an MDI veteran. He is a Windwalker Monk main turned “fotm” DPSer for both live keys and tournaments. 
Leal Canada
Leal is a Canadian Rogue main who started playing WoW in BFA during late Uldir. You can find him in the North American Mythic plus scene “slammering”. He currently plays a Rogue in the guild Twitch Prime and will be maining Outlaw Rogue in the tournament. 
Undad USA
Undad (Eddie) was born and raised in Pennsylvania as an “East Coast HxC kid”. He is most well known for his Rogue gameplay in the early seasons of BFA. Since then, he’s transitioned to the flex-DPS role, playing Death Knight, Hunter, Demon Hunter, Rogue, and anything else the team needs. Previously, Undad competed in the Spring and Summer MDI 2019 first with team Learn To Fly and then No Girls Allowed, finishing as the #2 North American teams in both seasons. Trell: We would probably be the gif of the girl trying to do math but ending up really confused. That is us when it comes to having the right gear and enchants on.

Fem Sweden
Team Captain Fem (Maximilian) is 24 years old from Sweden. He mains a Protection Warrior both on live servers and in the tournament. Fem raids in Norrlands Guld. He has previously participated (and, as he put it, “failed”) in the MDI and likes pushing keys on live servers. 
Majkeel Sweden
Majkeel (Michael), also known as Mewo, is 25 years old from Stockholm, Sweden. He participated in the 2019 MDI tournament as the healer for Paint for Fem. He’s currently an officer in the guild Norrlands Guld where he plays his Discipline Priest both in raids and keys. 
Rickymartin Norway
Rickymartin (Daniel) is 25 years young from Norway. Ricky mains Windwalker Monk on live and Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Windwalker, and whatever else becomes required for Mythic+ tournaments. He competed in the Summer 2019 MDI with the lads in Paint for Fem. He raids in the guild Norrlands Guld as Fem`s “Offtank” and is a really “yuge fan” of depleting high keys on live and dying to frontals. 
Sebekxd Poland
Sebekxd (Sebastian), also known as Sebbe, is 26 years old from Poland. Sebek mains Rogue on live servers, but is also an avid Blood Death Knight player. On tournament realm, he will mostly play Rogue, Demon Hunter, and Windwalker Monk depending on the affix combination and dungeon. Currently, he raids in the guild Halcyon. 
Sjele Norway
Sjele (Sivert) is 28 years old from Norway. While Sjele plays the “meta” classes for Mythic+ tournaments, he is known for playing Warlock and other off-meta classes in high keys on live servers. Sjele enjoys not taking long walks on the beach or stepping outside in general. High keys, Pepsi, and guitar keep him happy from the time he wakes up until he goes to sleep. Sjele is a part of Method as a streamer and spends his days mostly doing “useless things on his Warlock” to impress Twitch chat with big Demonic Tyrants.VitaminP: What are some key strengths and weaknesses of your team that we should look out for?
Fem: Our strength is probably our chill environment in practice—sometimes to the point of having too much silliness and not actually being productive with our limited time. A weakness of ours is waking up/being on time for our practice, because we usually schedule something around 15:00 and actually start playing an hour or so later.
VitaminP: Which team in the tournament do you think is your biggest competition or even rival and why? Is there anything you’d like to say to them?
Fem: Since we’re playing vs Gromnak Waiting Room first, we’d probably say they are our biggest rivals. Seeing as it’s a single elimination bracket, we’ve been focusing on this match more than usual. All we’d like to say to them is good luck in Shrine of the Storm :)
VitaminP: Now that the dungeons for each bracket of the tournament have been announced, which dungeon do you feel like you have in the bag? Which one are you most concerned about and why?
Fem: We’ve definitely been focusing on the first match during our limited practice time, so Shrine/Workshop/Atal would probably be our stronger ones, but everything is a 50/50 when you play 4 obelisks with last boss. Either it works or it doesn’t.
VitaminP: What’s one memory from the KSM Time Trials you’ll never forget and why?
Fem: Probably the usual Atal snapping and falling down. The worst part is that I’m not even the one who fell down the most.

Account Wide Essences
Jacob USA
Team Captain Jacob is 23 years old. He is a young entrepreneur and lives in Washington, D.C. Jacob currently raids in Blood Legion as a DPS Warrior, but has raided as a Rogue and Demon Hunter in previous tiers this expansion. He will be tanking as a Protection Warrior and possibly Blood Death Knight in the Keystone Masters tournament. 
Korimae USA
Korimae (Kori) is 25 years old from California and is the healer for Account Wide Essences. Kori enjoys streaming and pushing keys as both Restoration Druid and Mistweaver Monk. She currently raids with poptart corndoG as a Restoration Shaman. 
Dratnos USA
Dratnos is an officer and raider in poptart corndoG, Twitch streamer, co-host of the Titanforge Podcast, and a caster for the recent Race to World First event for Complexity-Limit at the Gamestop Performance Center. For the Keystone Masters tournament, he plans to play mostly Rogue and Unholy Death Knight.
Facts Hong Kong
Facts is a raider in Infinity. He mains Mage on live servers. He will be playing Demon Hunter and Death Knight in the tournament. 
Twisted USA
Twisted, or Justin, is a 22-year-old college student from California that currently competes for World First in Complexity-Limit. Previously, he raided in Instant Dollars, where he played tank, healer, and DPS during BFA. Now, he mains a DPS Warrior and also plays Paladin, Rogue, and Priest. In Keystone Masters, Twisted will be playing classes such as Rogue and Hunter.VitaminP: What are some key strengths and weaknesses of your team that we should look out for?
Jacob: Strength: Our name. Weakness: Everything, but especially our name.
VitaminP: Which team in the tournament do you think is your biggest competition or even rival and why? Is there anything you’d like to say to them?
Jacob: I have respect for every team—they are composed of true gamers. We are facing Method NA in our first match, so I would consider them our biggest competition. We have to get through that match first before I can look at another team. If I were to say something to them, it would be: “Good luck and go easy on us.”
VitaminP: Now that the dungeons for each bracket of the tournament have been announced, which dungeon do you feel like you have in the bag? Which one are you most concerned about and why?
Jacob: We’re confident with Kings’ Rest because it was one of the Time Trial keys. I am concerned about the 3rd match in our series (Shrine of the Storm) because we won’t have any time to practice it.
VitaminP: What is one memory from the KSM Time Trials you’ll never forget?
Jacob: Having to mail keys to other characters while practicing because you couldn’t delete keys.

Seliandra Germany
Team Captain Seliandrá (Dominik) is from Germany and lives in Leipzig. He currently mains Rogue on live servers, but mained Balance Druid for nearly 3 expansions. Seliandrá is the Raid leader and Guildmaster for the German guild called Broken Mind. For Keystone Masters, he’s been playing Tank and Rogue. Sheyna Germany
Sheyna (Marian) is 21 years old from Germany, living in Leipzig. He currently mains a Havoc Demon Hunter on live servers and raids in the guild Broken Mind. Previously, he mained a Retribution Paladin since Mists of Pandaria. He will also be playing Vengeance Demon Hunter in the tournament. 
Shuhaloh Germany
Shuhaloh (Alex) is 22 years old. He lives in Greece, but was born and raised in Germany. On live servers, he mains a Restoration Druid and raids in the guild Broken Mind. For the Keystone Masters tournament, he is a multiclass healer depending on the current dungeon and team setup. Shuhaloh currently ranks in the top 3 Druids in the world on live servers. This is his first Mythic+ tournament and he has no prior MDI experience. 
Elbroiblo Germany
Elbroiblo (Felix) is 24 years old from Germany. He currently lives in Bayreuth where he is studying to become a physics and mathematics teacher. Elbroiblo raids in the guild Broken Mind and has played Enhancement Shaman since Warlords of Draenor (and he'll never quit no matter the state of the “meta”). His high Mythic+ experience started in Season 3. 
Rami Germany
Ramîx, (Rami) is 26 years old from Germany. Rami raids in the guild Broken Mind. He would love to multiclass, but he can only maintain his Death Knight and Warrior due to the state of the current patch. VitaminP: What are some key strengths and weaknesses of your team that we should look out for?
Seliandrá: The key strength in our group is our focus damage. Most of the time, we have a heavy cleave-oriented group composition and nearly everyone provides single-target gain while cleaving and that's what we use to our advantage.
VitaminP: Now that the dungeons for each bracket of the tournament have been announced, which dungeon do you feel like you have in the bag? Which one are you most concerned about and why?
Seliandrá: In my opinion, Mechagon: Workshop in our bracket is our best dungeon because we most likely perform way better in single-target-oriented dungeons than in cleave-oriented dungeons.
VitaminP: What is one memory from the KSM Time Trials you’ll never forget?
Seliandrá: In a Tyrannical Waycrest Manor key, I killed our Enhancement Shaman (Elbroiblo) with a Twilight Devastation proc while he was mind-controlled, so the boss bugged out and the healing debuff never dropped.
