2,328 Shadowlands season 2 in the BIGGEST and BEST alliance, USA realm - STORMRAGE. Played the underdog, non-meta, LEAST sought-after, class/spec, ARMS WARRIOR, who got declined from many groups. I did NOT have a M+ team. ALL were pugs from group finder. And if you're wondering, YES, I did encounter some very TOXIC groups. • Ensure to have at least ONE battle rez class!
• Weeks with Quaking or Sanguine - consider LESS melee classes
• Weeks with Volcanic - you can limit amount of ranged classes
• Weeks with Grievous - consider bringing a class who can OFF HEAL!
• Weeks with Raging - druids and BM Hunters can use their SOOTHE
• Weeks with Necrotic - tanks need to kite, classes with slows/snares/grips/stuns can assist them

"Don’t look for m+ guilds or m+ discords. They’re full of people that think the reason they can’t time their keys is because the pugs they play with are bad (which isn’t true). They’ll join a guild or community to find the “good players,” but the actual good players aren’t there. The good players either have their own group that they run with, or they’re good enough at the game to pug successfully. When those people end up realizing that, they’ll get TOXIC in their groups and continue to BLAME everyone EXCEPT for themselves, because that’s how they joined their specialty m+ guild. Don’t join anything with m+ as the central focus. Either join a raiding guild and join their weekly m+ nights if you just want your weekly 15, or bnet add people you enjoyed pugging with if you want to push." -Matdir (Sunday, March 21, 2021)

"I've seen many M+ pugs getting crushed by this affix (Necrotic) debuff. Meanwhile, most highly-rated groups seem to have no problems steamrolling during Necrotic weeks. So I looked at the (v-)logs and data, and find that with the highly-rated groups:

1. The tank does SMALLER pulls, so Necrotic Wound stacks slowly.
2. The damage dealers do huge DPS (>10k in the high keys, SL S2), killing the mobs before Necrotic Wound reaches high stacks on the tank.
3. The healer does huge HPS (>6k in the high keys, SL S2), even with Necrotic Wound stacks on the tank.
4. All players cast AoE stuns and CCs more often, suppressing the mobs' attack and therefore making Necrotic Wound stack slowly.
5. The tank goes kiting when the group cannot end the combat before Necrotic Wound reaches high stacks.

"Some naïve PvEers think that the highly-rated tanks have some sort of sorcery and can perma-kite many big pulls without getting a stack. While slows and jumps (like Leap of Faith and Heroic Leap) do help in kiting, highly-rated groups actually overcome Necrotic with an entire team of competent players.
