Top WAs for M+ healing:
Shows an icon on party frames when a cast is incoming to that person: https://wago.io/TargetedSpells
Highlights their party frame when you have something you can dispel on that person and your dispel is off cooldown: https://wago.io/E8CGPeiDX
Clickable buttons for buffs you need to do so you don't need to bind or remember them anymore: https://wago.io/jNjrKl3US
Priest specific- Dibs on PI highlights the party frame when they cast a juicy DPS spell and it would be good to use power infusion on them: https://wago.io/f5SA1p-ye/
It might be good to put power infusion (or other spells) on a mouseover macro like so:
#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead] Power Infusion
Which will just PI your mouseover target if you’re mousing over a friendly, and your target otherwise. If you leave the macro icon as the weird question mark thing, it will auto-fill in the right power infusion icon.
You can also use help/harm macros which combine a healing and a dps spell into one button. For example, I combine flash heal with smite. It looks like this:
#showtooltip
/cast [harm] Smite; [help][@player] Flash Heal
The [help][@player] part isn’t always needed because that’s how flash heal would normally work if you have automatic self-targeting on your heals with no healable target selected.
If you want to prioritize mouseovers so you can just mouse over your friend or enemy, I use this priority sequence: mouseover heal > mouseover dps > target heal > target dps > self heal (if no mouseover or target)
It looks like this for flash heal and smite: (if copy and pasting, make sure to remove the newline I put in the middle for formatting)
#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] flash heal; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] smite;
[@target,help,nodead] flash heal; [@target,harm,nodead] smite; [@player] flash heal
You can replace flash heal and smite with any combo you prefer. For priests, I find other natural combinations are renew with shadow word pain (purge the wicked if disc) because they’re both instant casts, apply a dot (damage over time) or hot (heal over time) and are castable while moving. I put shadow word: death in with power word: life as well, both low hp buttons that are instant cast.
For resto shaman, you could do
- Healing Surge - Lightning Bolt
- Chain Heal - Chain Lightning
- Riptide - Flame Shock
- Purify Spirit - Purge
- Healing Wave - Lava Burst
For resto druid, I think if you prefer not to catweave and instead owlweave (less strong because adaptive swarm also increases enemy dots, but easy, you can also just catweave on bosses in M+ apparently from logs?)
- Rejuvenation - Moonfire
- Regrowth - Wrath
- Wild Growth - Starfire (or maybe Sunfire, you pick! I put sunfire with regrowth and don’t bind wrath because I catweave on ST personally)
- Nature’s Cure - Soothe
You can also use Clique instead of mouseover macros if you prefer, clique has the added bonus of not having to think about where your mouse is when you want to dps (people can run in front of your cursor and make you do a heal spell on them when you want to be doing the dps spell)
I use default party frames from Blizz I like Aptechka if you’re looking for a different one. For enemy frames, check out Qazii’s plater profile and download plater, it’s awesome and it also tells you what spells are high priority to interrupt (not all interrupts are created equal! Stuns vs teeny tank damage for example think everbloom trash mobs)
Ways to lower buttons on specs:
- Priest: drop halo/divine star, holy nova (if disc or shadow, holy should use this), swap power word life to benevolence, holy priest if you don’t run lightweaver you can just not bind heal for M+.
- Resto druid: macro nature’s swiftness into convoke the spirits (fun fact: convoke regrowths benefit from it but don’t use it), macro nature’s vigil into flourish, macro innervate into something if you forget to use it especially like I do, I macro it into ironbark. You can also just drop cenarion ward it isn’t amazing, or you can put it in a weird bind and just put it on yourself when running between packs. You can also bind CW [@player] into grove guardians if you are ok with it taking you of cat form to do that.
- MM hunter single target: drop steel trap, maybe not need tar trap and if you have a VDH tank sometimes they don’t even need misdirection nowadays
