1. Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament - Introduction

The Event will be governed by this document, entitled the Player Handbook & Tournament Rules, unless otherwise indicated. Defined terms used in this document shall have the meanings and definitions ascribed to them within this document unless otherwise noted herein.

If a provision of the Tournament Rules is or becomes illegal, invalid, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that shall not affect the validity or enforceability in that jurisdiction of any other provision of the Tournament Rules or the validity or enforceability in other jurisdictions of any other provision of the Tournament Rules.

2. Acceptance of the Tournament Rules

By registering to participate, or agreeing to participate in the Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament, you indicate your acceptance of the Tournament Rules contained herein.

3. Eligibility and Communication

Eligibility for the Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament is set forth in Section 3 of Blizzard Entertainment’s Official Rules.

All players MUST join the official Eve Ascension Discord server for communication with Tournament Staff.

4. Gender Identity

All players must identify as a woman or other gender identity. Any players found in violation of this rule will be disqualified from this and future Eve Ascension events, and will forfeit any prize monies earned.

Please note: The four qualifying teams must verify their gender identity in order to compete in the Eve Ascension Championship event. More details will be provided to qualifying teams.

5. Registration

Teams will be required to form a Team using the Raider.IO Mythic+ Teams system. The Team captain will then Register for Eve Ascension via Raider.IO on behalf of their team.

Registration opens on August 18th, 2023, and closes at 11:59pm PDT on September 14th, 2023.

6. Qualifiers

The Qualifiers will take place on LIVE World of Warcraft servers on the following dates for each region, based on regional server resets:

Americas & Oceania: August 29th - September 12th (server reset to server reset)
Europe: August 30th - September 13th (server reset to server reset)
Korea / Taiwan: August 31st - September 14th (server reset to server reset)

Dungeons completed solely by Team members during the Qualifier period will contribute to Team Score, which will be visible on the Eve Ascension Leaderboards on Raider.IO. At the end of the Qualifying period, the top 4 Teams on the Eve Ascension Leaderboards will be invited to participate in the Eve Ascension Championship, to take place on September 30th, 2023 on the Tournament Realms.

There are no limitations or restrictions regarding class, spec, or group composition for the Qualifiers.

NOTE: Team Membership on Raider.IO is character-specific so you will want to ensure you add ALL characters to the Team Roster that you choose to use for the Qualifiers.

IMPORTANT: It is HIGHLY recommended that you use the Raider.IO Desktop Client with Live Tracking enabled to ensure your Team’s Score is accurate.

7. Tournament Realms

The Eve Ascension Mythic+ Championship takes place on the Tournament Realms. Your registered Blizzard Account will be flagged for access to the special Tournament Realms. Login to your account using the Battle.net App as normal, but instead of selecting your normal realm, click the “Tournament” tab at the bottom of the Realm Selection screen.

Note: Please select the Mythic Dungeon realm for your region.

Please see this article for step-by-step instructions on how to set up a character on the Tournament Realm in Dragonflight Season 2.

8. Keystones

The Keystone Vendor NPC will sell everything you need to create the Keystones for your dungeons. Keystone Containers contain a random keystone. Purchase Scrolls to set the Dungeon Map, Keystone Level and any affixes. Apply the modifier scrolls to the Keystone by right-clicking the scroll in your inventory and clicking on the Keystone.

9. Overall Tournament Format - Eve Ascension Championship

The Eve Ascension Mythic+ Championship is a one-day Tournament consisting of the top 4 Teams from the Eve Ascension Qualifiers, with teams competing against each other in 4 dungeons. The Championship will take place on the Tournament Realm.

GEAR

During the full duration of the Eve Ascension Mythic+ Championship, including the time leading up to the Championship itself, you are only permitted to use the gear provided by the special vendors in Valdrakken (you can also use any of the pieces of gear already equipped when you create your character). Acquiring gear on the Tournament Realm from dungeons, raids, or other sources to gain an advantage may result in disciplinary action.

TEAM COMPOSITIONS - NO SPEC STACKING

Team compositions must contain 5 unique specializations. Teams are not permitted to use 2 of the same specialization during any given dungeon run. For example, a team composition cannot have 2 Fire Mages, however, it can have 1 Fire Mage, and 1 Frost Mage.
Team compositions can feature any number of Tanks, Healers, and DPS roles totaling 5 players.

PROFESSIONS

You are allowed to use any Profession consumables, gears, enchants, or other items as long as you are able to learn and craft the item(s) solely from the Vendors in Valdrakken. You are not allowed to use any Profession items if resources or recipes need to be sourced elsewhere.

DUNGEONS

Teams will compete in 4 total dungeons during the Tournament. Dungeons will be chosen from the currently available dungeon pool of Dragonflight Season 2. The chosen Dungeons and Affixes will be pre-determined by Tournament staff, and will be made known to players 30 minutes prior to the start of Gameplay on the Event Date.

10. Tournament Operation

The Championship will consist of the (4) teams that earn a spot via the Qualifiers (top 4 teams). During the Championship, the teams will compete over 1 day to push the Keystone levels of dungeons set by the Tournament Staff to the highest Keystone level possible. The competition day will last 6 hours. Players will play on the same realms and accounts provided to Tournament Staff upon registration.

(a) Format
  • (i) Teams will run the dungeons during the allotted competition period and will push the Keystones according to the in-game timer. For example, if a team completes Dungeon A at Keystone level 20 with a +3 completion timer, the Keystone will become Dungeon A Keystone level 23.
  • (ii) If a team fails to complete a key within the timer, they can reattempt that dungeon at the same Keystone level - Keystones will not deplete.
  • (iii) In the event teams are tied for their overall score, the following parameters will be used to break a tie (in priority from top to bottom, keep moving down the list if the tie is not broken):

  • (1) Tie Breaker 1: Highest Timed Keystones Win
  • a) Teams highest timed Keystones are compared, the highest wins
  • b) If the highest Keystone for the tied teams is the same, the 2 highest Keystones are totaled, and then compared. This proceeds to the 3rd and 4th highest Keystones if needed.
  • (2) Tie Breaker 2: Team with the fastest times across all their completed dungeons wins. This is calculated by dividing the team’s fastest time in each dungeon by the total in-game timer for that dungeon, then adding them up across all completed dungeons. The lowest value wins.
  • (3) Tie Breaker 3: Teams will play a head-to-head match on a map decided by Tournament Staff
  • (4) Tie Breaker 4: Coin Toss

(b) Tournament Play
  • (i) Teams will be made up of a total of 5 eligible players. Teams must consist of 5 players. Teams unable to field a team of 5 players will be asked to accept a replacement player, if available
  • (ii) Tournament Staff will be enforcing a mandatory 15-minute break for players during the 6 hour competition window. Players are encouraged to take any time needed to maintain their physical and mental well-being.

(c) Dungeons
  • (i) Tournament Staff will provide teams with the list of dungeons and affixes to be used during the Tournament 30 minutes prior to the start of competition, at 9am PDT. Each dungeon will have a predetermined set of affixes and a base keystone level to start each dungeon at.

11. Championship Schedule

Tentative Schedule for the Championship:

  • (a) Access to the Tournament Realm given on Monday, September 25th, 2023.
  • (b) Tournament begins September 30th, 2023 at 9:00am PDT / 6:00pm CEST.
  • (c) Dungeon gameplay begins September 30th, 2023 at 9:30am PDT / 6:30pm CEST.
  • (d) Dungeon gameplay ends September 30th, 2023 at 3:30pm PDT / 12:30am CEST.

12. Team Communication and Coaching

For the duration of the live broadcast of the Championship, full Teams (players and coaches) must be in voice chat in the Official Eve Ascension Discord server. This provides easy access for admin staff to teams to pass messages, provide time updates, or render decisions in a timely manner.

Coaching is permitted in Eve Ascension, but if a Team has more than one coach, the Team must assign one (1) Coach as the “Event Coach” for the Championship. The Event Coach is allowed to communicate with the Team’s players in voice chat within the Official Eve Ascension Discord during the Championship. Teams may only have one (1) non-player in voice chat during the Championship other than Eve Ascension admin staff, and that non-player must be the Event Coach. Communication between players and Coaches other than the Event Coach is not permitted during the Championship in any form, including via Discord, Twitch, or other platform or provider, unless authorized by Eve Ascension admin staff.

Coaches are not required to be a woman or gender minority.

13. Additional Rules and Penalties - Championship

  • Character names should include the full version of the players’ alias/handle as indicated to Tournament Staff. Team and character names must not contain profanity, the names of people not on the team, or the names of any third-party, trademark, or intellectual property. Only small variations of this handle for multiple characters will be allowed. These variants should come after the players’ alias/handle. Example, characters for player “Hula” can be Hulahoops, Hulahots, Hulashoots, etc.
  • Players are allowed to perform an unlimited number of character changes between Dungeons.
  • Players are required to be ready at least 30 minutes prior to the Tournament starting, and check in with Tournament Staff.
  • Tournament staff may ask players to remove Transmogrifications at their discretion.
  • Players who ignore, or attempt to contravene Tournament Staff requests may be penalized.
  • In the case of a technical issue or experienced bug, the Tournament Staff may require players to restart the Dungeon from the beginning at the Tournament Staff’s discretion.
  • In order to dispute any game issue, players must notify Tournament Staff immediately.
  • Players may not use known bugs or exploits during the Tournament, as determined by the Tournament Staff. Intentional usage of bugs or exploits may result in a time penalty being applied to your run, forfeiture of that Dungeon completion, or other disciplinary action at the sole discretion of the Tournament Staff.
  • Players who have identified a strategy involving a potential bug or exploit must inform Tournament Staff by providing a VOD or log of their run prior to the Tournament. The team must provide full details of this strategy to the Tournament Staff.

Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament
PLAYER GUIDE AND INSTRUCTIONS

1. Streaming

Players are free to stream the Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament, both the Qualifiers and the Championship.

For the purpose of the Live Championship broadcast, we will be pulling feeds directly from player Twitch feeds. If you are planning on streaming the Championship, please ensure you follow the instructions below for your User Interface so that we may freely swap between feeds for each team. Please ensure your stream is at the highest possible quality available to you. Additionally, please ensure team communications (Discord) are audible on your stream, as we may want to listen in!

Note: Please turn off follower alerts during this event

2. UI Guidelines for Stream Feed

For the players providing a Stream Feed to the Live broadcast, we are not enforcing a standardized User Interface (UI), but there are certain things we need to have shown on the screen at all times. You may structure your UI as desired, as long as it falls within the parameters below:

Please use this above image to create your appropriate UI for the stream feed to Production.

YELLOW: This section is for GottaGoFast or a similar WeakAura that provides specific
information about the dungeon in progress. Using this addon or a WeakAura that
provides the same information is mandatory. Please ensure you have the following settings:

RED: This is where the Raider.IO Dungeon Widget will be placed as a Browser Source,
so please leave this section blank.

GREEN: Please put BOTH a DPS and HPS meter in this section.

BLUE: Please include a WeakAura/Timer/Tracker for BOTH Bloodlust and Combat Rez
in this section. This WeakAura is a good option, or you can use something visually similar.

PINK: If you choose to use a Player Camera (recommended!), please align it in the Pink
section. You may also use a chat blocker.

These UI guidelines are to ensure that the necessary information is available and visible to our viewers, as well as to our broadcast talent so that they can keep track of how your team is doing. If you require any assistance setting up your UI, please inform Tournament Staff and they will be happy to help.

3. WeakAuras and other Addons

You as a player are responsible for ensuring that you do not have any WeakAuras, Addons or Macros that contain offensive wording or images.

4. Raider.IO Desktop Client with Live Tracking Enabled

In order to power the various widgets and leaderboards that will be used during the Live broadcast, we require multiple players per team to be running the Raider.IO Desktop Client with Live Tracking Enabled. You can download the Client here.

If your Client is properly set up with Live Tracking Enabled, the Client should show the following:

Please inform Tournament Staff prior to the Tournament if you will be one of the players running the Client during the Tournament.

Thanks!

Again a massive thank you for your participation and support for the Eve Ascension Mythic+ Tournament and its partners. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback you can always reach out to us via the Event Discord.
