It has certainly been a busy season for WoW Esports and Community Events. Between events such as the
The KSB tournament was originally conceived by Ferris in early 2021, and was brought to life in partnership with the Oasis community organization when Ferris joined them as a PVE Leader. The first two KSB events took place in May and December of 2021 with great success. This year, KSB is back stronger than ever for its third season, and 10 teams have emerged from the qualifiers to show how high they can build a keystone from +2 and up over the course of the tournament!
Learn more about the event and the participating teams, and be sure to tune into the action LIVE this weekend starting at 9:30 AM PT on Friday April 28th, Saturday April 29th, and Sunday April 30th!

EVENT SUMMARY
The Mythic+ Keystone Builders Tournament is a community-organized tournament that focuses on keystone completion and timing through the ability to speedrun lower keys in addition to higher keys. Teams will compete by ‘building’ one keystone from a +2 as high as possible within the allotted time frame to earn the most points. Points are earned based on performance in the key, the level of the key, and the number of keys that they are able to complete.
HOW TEAMS WERE DETERMINED
Teams started out by registering via Raider.IO between March 31st and April 14th. Then, for all eligible teams, there was a qualifying stage that took place off-broadcast and on live servers from April 17th through April 23nd.
From the qualifiers, the top 12 teams were determined:
Unfortunately, Teg Tag Team and Blunder Bus have withdrawn from the tournament, but we still have 10 amazing teams competing this weekend!
HOW TEAMS WILL COMPETE
The Top 10 ranking teams from the qualification stage are divided into one of three groups to compete on three separate days respectively, where each team will have 3 hours to build their key through the ladder provided by tournament administration to earn as many points as possible!
On each day of the tournament, participating teams will be provided with a ‘ladder’ of keys. At the start of the race - 10:00 AM (PT), the +2 dungeon will be revealed to all competitors. Once this key has been completed, each team will be assigned the same dungeon map for the level of the key they have built. The dungeon map will be revealed once the previous key has been completed.
PRIZE POOL
All tournament funding will be crowdsourced.

HOW & WHERE TO WATCH THE FINALS
From Friday, April 28th through Sunday, April 30th, tune into Oasis on Twitch to watch the main event here, starting each day at 9:30 AM PT.
Additionally, feel free to watch some of your favorite players on their very own channels too if they are streaming their POVs live!
Meet the Teams
The best part about KSB is that it takes place on live servers, making it a much more accessible competition than the MDI or other events that operate upon the Tournament Realm. Anybody can take part in KSB and, for many teams, it is their first foray into competitive dungeon-running. As a result, many of the teams participating are new to the Mythic+ tournament scene, but they are eager and excited to battle it out for the title of KSB champion!

Q-1: Introduce your team!
Reholy: We're a group of friends who have been playing together for the past couple of years. Some are guildies/ex-guildies. Some of us became friends from doing PUG raids together on a weekly basis.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Reholy: It looked like a great opportunity to play together. We're here to show that even though a lot of people see us as more "hardcore" WoW players, many of us are still here just to have fun!
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Reholy: We'd like to genuinely have a good time – getting both tighter as a friend group and meeting the competition and team behind the event! A high ranking would be great, of course!
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Reholy: We've played keys together on live servers for quite a while, which means we didn't need much specific practice for this tournament. We did theorycraft some dungeons though.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Reholy: We've mostly made some routes for potential earlier keys. Once the keys get high enough, we're hoping our current live routes will be enough to help us get a high ranking at the end of the tournament.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Reholy: Our experience in competitive Mythic+ comes mostly from pushing keys on live servers, alongside playing some MDI Qualifiers as a fun side-activity!
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Reholy: The spirit of competition and seeing how well the other teams will do! Having a watchparty on saturday and sunday as well!
Q-8: If your team had an entrance/walk-on song, what would it be?

Q-1: Introduce your team!
Biggerwave: We are a handful of guildmates and friends that like to push keys. Our tank, Thwonknbilly, reached out to all of us and brought us together for this.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Biggerwave: Thwonk basically bullied us all into it.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Biggerwave: To try not to embarrass ourselves.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Biggerwave: We pushed a couple keys together.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Biggerwave: Push hard to +20 and spam out +20s.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Biggerwave: None.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Biggerwave: 2nd place.
Q-8: If your team had an entrance/walk-on song, what would it be?

Q-1: Introduce your team!
Srflechitas: Five clowns doing Mythic+.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Srflechitas: Jovenkation saw the tournament announced on Raider.IO and cried all week because he want to participate.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Srflechitas: Try to not being a shame, and try to convert our Shaman into a "No Clicker."
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Srflechitas: Gearing Darkeesh in a week.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Srflechitas: Killing bosses and trying to not die (we are key depleter masters).
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Srflechitas: We have entered tournaments before for in-game toys.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Srflechitas: We want to exit Latin America, and with a little bit of luck, not end the tournament in last place.

Ohesneaky |
Q-1: Introduce your team!
Ohsneaky: We are just some buddies who enjoy pushing keys. We are silly, we f*** up frequently, and we have fun.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Ohsneaky: We just thought it would be fun 🙂
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Ohsneaky: To do our best and compete. It's exciting to be in the finalists, I don't think any of us were expecting it, but we are all looking forward to just having some fun.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Ohsneaky: We haven't been. A few of us have been really burnt out waiting for next season, so this has been a really good competition to give us something to do! We will probably run a few keys before the competition on the tournament realm just to feel it out.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Ohsneaky: I think we have agreed to find the highest level key we can consistently 3-chest and then just slam the keys as fast as possible.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Ohsneaky: 0 experience. We are all 3k IO players, but that's all we have going for us.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Ohsneaky: Having fun with our best friends.

Tomfixsham |
Q-1: Introduce your team!
Tomfixsham: Nobody talks about the Flight Club!
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Tomfixsham: It seemed to be the perfect opportunity to taste competitive air. We started playing together in Patch 10.0 and are eager to play and push more.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Tomfixsham: The obvious answer would be to win but there are some tough teams to beat. So we want to play on our highest level and as clean as possible.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Tomfixsham: We practice as much as possible on live servers with the obvious route discussion here and there.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Tomfixsham: For the qualifying stage, we tried to minimize downtime and run as many keys as possible. In hindsight, we would have run more low keys instead of pushing the highest since it was the most time efficient. Our strategy for the finals is work in progress.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Tomfixsham: Well it's not exactly competitive in the sense of this tournament but we held an intern guild M+ tournament with a lot of participation. Besides that we are all around 2.9 to 3.1k R.io on live servers.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Tomfixsham: Since the qualification stage was a lot of fun for us, we are really looking forward to the group stage. It's also really nice to be broadcasted officially.

Q-1: Introduce your team!
Canddy: Born of bricking keys, we're a group of friends who just like vibing (and sometimes timing keys too!)
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Canddy: To see how high we could push a key as a team.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Canddy: We were just happy to get as high as we have so far.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Canddy: We pretty much do keys together every other night.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Canddy: Winging it, and good comms.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Canddy: None until now. Most of us have dabbled in Mythic Raiding more than competitive Mythic+, so we are very excited to experience a tournament for our first time.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Canddy: To keep pushing keys and progression as a team.
Q-8: If your team had an entrance/walk-on song, what would it be?

Q-1: Introduce your team!
Valkbrew: We are a new team from Stormrage and Illidan. We just formed in Season 1 of Dragonflight. Most of us have been playing WoW since Vanilla and have been playing seriously off and on over the years.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Valkbrew: We signed up for KSB to put our names out there and see where we stood with the rest of the community. We also thought it would be a fun challenge for all of us.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Valkbrew: Do the best we can and have fun doing it.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Valkbrew: We can only practice as a team 2 days of the week since we have conflicting raid schedules. Most of the time, we practice either as 3 or 4 of us (mixing and matching members) and taking any strats we may have learned without the others there.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Valkbrew: Our strategy will be to do +16-18 keys as fast as we can to build score.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Valkbrew: As a team, this is our first competitive tournament. As individuals, we are generally 2k IO and above players each season.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Valkbrew: Just competing and having fun! This is our first tournament, so just the experience itself is exciting enough.
Q-8: If your team had an entrance/walk-on song, what would it be?
The “Freebird” Solo.

Wochi |
Q-1: Introduce your team!
Wochi: The Dungeon Dojo team is composed by passionate players who love this type of content. This brigade has walked different paths through the years, and some just recently joined the fray of the high-end content. But there is one thing we all love: helping people running high-end content with a smile on our faces and having a laugh, and possibly collecting pets and achievements along the way!
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Wochi: We signed up mostly to see how a competition like this could be, and to see if the skills we acquired in Season 1 were good enough!
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Wochi: Our goals are to enjoy ourselves, and prove that people can play any class and any spec, and still be competitive 🙂
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Wochi: We have been doing keys and trying to do bigger pulls, but in a week with affixes like Explosive, everything gets a bit harder 😄
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Wochi: Concentration, quick reflexes, and a lot of hydration!
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Wochi: This was our first attempt at a competitive format. We only assembled as a team 3 weeks ago! And, as an added bonus, we are all playing Off-Meta specs too!
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Wochi: To do more of these events – especially with the upcoming Season 2 – and mostly just having fun with friends!

Shuadrood |
Q-1: Introduce your team!
Bihèxual: MUFFINS TOGETHER STRONG! Our team is Rocky on Prot Pally, Shua on Druid (Feral/Boomchicken), Ling on Havoc DH, Madarlan (Cow) on Fury War, and Shy on Resto Sham.
Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Bihèxual: We signed up for KSB for the challenge and experience of doing something as a guild group. The Muffins of the Dark Side are very close-knit, and the chance to play in a tournament was just too fun to pass up.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Bihèxual: Our biggest goal is to always have fun. We don't care if we win or lose as long as we do it together and have a good time trying.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Bihèxual: Our guild is extremely Mythic+ oriented...The last time we counted, I think some of us had already done over 600 keys in Season 1. We run everything from +2s to +22s with guild members for fun and to push IO.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Bihèxual: Rocky likes spreadsheets – like a lot – so he makes sheets to determine which keys will get the best time/points based on difficulty to help make decisions on what level to run them at. We also plan to watch the Friday runs and see how other teams compare – gotta scope out the competition (Rocky also wanted me to note that the biggest strat for him is to not die in a +11).
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Bihèxual: A few of us did MDI last year but, for the most part, this is a new thing. It has been very exciting so far!
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Bihèxual: Playing in the tournament is a big one for most of us. A few have played in them before, but for Shy, it is a first time experience. We are definitely excited to see how it goes!

Q-2: Why sign up for KSB?
Yrkath: To smash and smurf on the other guild team.
Q-3: What are your goals for this competition?
Yrkath: Gitting good. Going for a podium would be nice though.
Q-4: How has your team been practicing?
Yrkath: Haha, yes.
Q-5: What is your strategy?
Yrkath: Probably quantity over key level.
Q-6: What is your team’s experience in competitive Mythic+?
Yrkath: It’s our first tournament. We’re around 3k IO except for mister Pippens who is 3.1k IO.
Q-7: What are you most looking forward to?
Yrkath: Getting good points and having fun!
Q-8: If your team had an entrance/walk-on song, what would it be?
