The Weekly Route: Encrypted!

This week's affixes are Tyrannical, Bolstering, Explosive, and Encrypted!

This week marks the very first week of the Encrypted affix! For the next few months, the other affixes will remain unknown until the week begins, as Blizzard has confirmed that they won’t reveal it in advance. For this reason, we’ve created a set of routes for each dungeon that should be able to stand up to whatever affix combos are thrown at us! For some pulls, certain potential affixes like Bolstering can throw a wrench into the plan, so we’ve included notes next to these pulls to help you in the event those affixes are active. We plan to update the routes as strategies develop and will also update the Weekly Route articles as quickly as possible each week with dungeon specific tips in the section below!

What are the rewards for mythic plus this week?

End of dungeon loot will scale up to ilvl 255 from +10 or higher keys, but it is still worth it to do up to +15 if you can, as the great vault you open next week will contain up to ilvl 278 if you can manage that. Valor points have reset, so collecting them to upgrade your gear is valuable, as is earning Mythic Plus score to unlock those valor upgrades and progress towards Keystone Master at 2500 or Keystone Hero at 3000 if those are your goals (those scores may look intimidating, but note that two new dungeons have been added to the pool that increase the potential score available).

Special thanks to Wotuu and keystone.guru for hosting our routes, and to Nnoggie and Mythic Dungeon Tools for updating the addon with Tazavesh and Encrypted support!

The Weekly Routes

De Other Side [back to top]

De Other Side is a fantastic dungeon to use the Wo Cypher in to zoom around the dungeon. We’re offering an experimental route that uses several of these to skip some enemies and save time, or a more traditional route that doesn’t require any specific Encrypted buffs!

Halls of Atonement [back to top]

The traditional skip from the first to second boss in this dungeon can be done with a Wo Cypher now, which our route uses! If you want to modify the plan, you can of course still use other methods to do this skip or indeed kill mobs along the way instead.

NOTE: The route for this dungeon should work for all affix weeks, but it does require a playstyle adjustment against on-death affixes where you’ll need to be extremely vigilant of Toiling Groundskeepers and only pull them in when appropriate.

Mists of Tirna Scithe [back to top]

Mists begins with a new pull that hasn’t been done in previous seasons to get access to a Wo Cypher and zoom to the first boss. You’ll need to be extra cautious and hug the wall while executing this in order to avoid the true sight mobs! After that first skip, the remaining Encrypted mobs are all up to your preference, though it’s very valuable to line up a damage cypher with the burn phase on the first boss.

Plaguefall [back to top]

Our route doesn’t call for any specific Cyphers in this dungeon, though it’s worth noting that Encrypted does add relics to almost every pull in the Third boss’s room, so be prepared for that!

Sanguine Depths [back to top]

We’re offering two Sanguine Depths routes - one with no skips and the other with a few skips to make the dungeon faster and/or less lethal - importantly, these are not Wo Cypher skips but old-fashioned Shroud, death, or invis pot skips, so do not use that route if you aren’t equipped to execute those!

Spires of Ascension [back to top]

The traditional skip past the nasty enemies before Oryphrion is now possible with a Wo Cypher, so you don’t need to hop around the walls and use two-seater mounts or anything any more!

The Necrotic Wake [back to top]

A Wo cypher in this dungeon also facilitates the traditional skip to the second boss, so we’re including that plan in our route. It’s also worth noting that the Spear weapon available in this dungeon does increase the boss’ damage taken from your abilities while it’s active, so it’s great to combine with either the Vy or Urh Cyphers for even more damage on bosses that you’re spearing.

Theater of Pain [back to top]

There are no required uses of any Cyphers in our route for this dungeon, though if you’re looking to experiment you could try using the first Wo cypher in Gorechop’s wing to skip down to the bridge!

Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder [back to top]

Check out our quick-start guide to Tazavesh to learn the most important abilities to look out for in this dungeon! Take the dungeon slowly as everyone will be much less familiar with it than all the other dungeons, but luckily the path in our route should be fairly straightforward to follow!

Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit [back to top]

Check out our quick-start guide to Tazavesh to learn the most important abilities to look out for in this dungeon! The important numbers to know for this dungeon are that you need 35% of your count from the Murloc area or 48% of your count before you pull the first boss (the four mobs before the first boss give that 13% difference between the two numbers, so never skip them!)
