The Weekly Route: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Explosive, and Tormented

This week’s affixes are Tyrannical, Bolstering, Explosive, and Tormented.

It's a middle of the road Tyrannical week, with Bolstering slowing down pulls and making higher keys tough to time in combination with the longer and more challenging boss encounters.

Live Shadowlands keys, however, take a backseat this week to several things - Legion Timewalking chief among them! Read all about the six Legion dungeons you can attack and pick up routes for them over at our Legion Timewalking Primer! You'll also be able to watch some Legion and some Shadowlands dungeons pushed to their very limit this weekend, as the Great Push will be underway! Check out the top 6 teams that qualified and be sure to follow along with our coverage!

The Weekly Routes

De Other Side [back to top]

Big pulls are still possible in this dungeon, especially the Ardenweald wing, as most pulls include enemies with similar amounts of health. Take care though if you’re a primarily target capped group - you may find it more efficient to break these pulls in half.

Halls of Atonement [back to top]

Be careful of Groundskeepers - they bolster! Notably, they do not bolster Tormented mobs (nothing does), which makes that an excellent time to pull these little mobs efficiently. Watch out for Explosive in the miniboss room at the end of the dungeon! If you can one-phase the miniboss, you can line of sight these - otherwise you’ll need to assign quadrants of the room to your group members.

Mists of Tirna Scithe [back to top]

We’re continuing to offer the route with skips that features a difficult to execute skip at the start of the dungeon - this is by far the highest fail-rate skip in any of our routes, so take care that you understand it and practice it a little on M0 to make sure you aren’t walking near any of the true-sight mobs during it! The payoff is solid but not worth attempting if you aren’t confident you can do it reliably.

Plaguefall [back to top]

Remember that you can grab Incinerator Arkolath before Doctor Ickus to get another anima power for that fight.

With Tyrannical active the bosses in this dungeon are especially scary. Watch out for explosives spawning off of far adds on all four fights!

Sanguine Depths [back to top]

This dungeon loads an incredible amount of difficulty into the boss fights - the trash isn’t easy either but you really need to ensure you have every cooldown for the bosses.

Spires of Ascension [back to top]

Bolstering and Explosive do not impact this dungeon too much, so it’s one of the better choices this week relative to most weeks!

The Necrotic Wake [back to top]

A useful tip for Amarth is to have your tank pick up the spear beforehand and spear Amarth on pull, when Incinerator Arkolath is around 30% health, aimed in such a way that it pierces and hits both. The tank is ideal for this job since the spear generates huge threat!

Theater of Pain [back to top]

Tyrannical boss fights are extremely challenging in this dungeon if the keystone level is at all close to the edge of your comfort zone - make sure you don’t use your cooldowns on trash before these fights (you shouldn’t need to in this dungeon, besides maybe in the Gorechop wing)!
