Raider.IO Push Week: BREAK THE META!

It’s time for something new! This coming reset has some pretty decent affixes - Fortified, Inspiring, Storming, and Prideful - so we thought to ourselves “let’s host another Push Week competition.” But instead of following the regular Push Week format, we decided to shake things up a bit. We want to push the envelope, break the mold… or rather….break...the meta?

That’s right, folks! It’s time to smash that meta to pieces and show the world just what those off-meta classes and specs can do. We’re hosting a Mythic+ Push Week Competition where only teams made up entirely of lower popularity specs are eligible. It’s time to let those Feral Druids out of their cages and let them stampeding roar your team to the top of the Break the Meta Competition!

How it Works:

While we are not going to require registered teams for this competition, we do want to format it around the bracket system we have implemented for our team leaderboards. We want to encourage people to play their off-meta classes and specs, and to break out their alts, but to maintain that bracket format to have multiple different levels of competition.

After the Competition Week is over, we will be combing the Timed Run Leaderboards to find the TOP key for the US/OCE Region, as well as the EU Region at the following bracket levels:

Okay, What’s the Catch?

In order for any run on the Timed Run Leaderboards to be considered eligible for this competition, it can be made up of ONLY the following specs:

Note: In order to determine the eligible specs, we looked at the Timed Run Leaderboards for all of Shadowlands Season 1, sorted by Class Frequency, and showing Mythic+ Keystones at levels 10 and higher. We looked at each role separately (tank, healer, DPS) and took the bottom half of participating specs per role, as can be seen by the following graphs:

Competition Prizes:

We will be awarding prizes to each member of the groups that score the highest timed run within each of the above brackets, in both the US/OCE and EU Regions, that are made up entirely of the listed classes. Prizes will consist of Blizzard store mounts, Blizzard store pets, and World of Warcraft game time. The prize value for each bracket increases as you climb into higher brackets; so you'll be rewarded for pushing into the highest bracket your team can be competitive in!

Each Blizzard Account is only eligible for a single prize.

Eligibility:

• Players must be in either the Americas & Oceania region or the Europe region.
• All members of the winning teams must have completed the winning runs in one of the eligible specializations.
• Each Blizzard Account is only eligible for a single prize.
• No formal entry form is required for this Competition.
• In order to facilitate prizing, please link your Discord and Btag IDs to your Raider.IO User Profile. If we cannot get in touch with you, we cannot award you prizes!

The competition period lasts for the entire in-game weekly reset:

Americas & Oceania: April 27 - May 3
Europe: April 28 - May 4

Winners will be announced by May 8th.
