About Starlit

Greetings Champion,

<Starlit> is a newly formed guild with ambitions of achieving CE each tier at a steady pace. We are a group of self-motivated like-minded players who push ourselves to improve while also raiding only 5 hours a week. With the low raiding commitment, we provide solid raid leading, organization and structure so no one's time is wasted. We run a tight roster of players that we vet thoroughly for our core! We are inclusive/women friendly! This is not a casual guild :)

Schedule:
  • Tues/Thurs 8:30PM-11:00PM(CST), 6:30PM-9:00PM (PST), 9:30-12:00AM (EST)
  • Sunday Optional day for Heroic/Normal farm
Friday Raid:
  • Friday 8:30PM-11:00PM(CST), 6:30PM-9:00PM (PST), 9:30-12:00AM (EST)
Expectations:
  • Drive to get CE
  • Weekly Vault on Myth Track
  • Best Gear/Enchants
  • Consumes and Potions Use
  • Know your class and specialization
  • Commitment to attendance

Drive to get CE: This guild's overarching goal is to get Cutting Edge. Performance and consistency is needed. We are not a casual guild. Our leadership is dedicated to achieving these goals on a steady timeline. If your performance is consistent and you put in the effort to improve you will fit in well here. Below is an elaboration on what we require that we think will set you up for success on our journey.

Weekly Vault: Ideally you would be doing 8 mythic dungeons a week at 10+ for a full vault of mythic upgrade track gear; However we only require 4x 10 Mythic+ a week.

Best Gear/Enchants: Have all your gear enchanted and upgraded appropriately. Farm for the pieces that you need from M+. Sim your character to keep track of what are your best upgrades.

Consumes and Potions Use: Come prepared to raid with enough potions for the pulls, and enough consumes for the evening. We will provide what we are able to but in the event we cannot - you are expected to have your own.

Know your class and specialization: Research which spec is best for each boss we are progressing. Take special note of your kit. We will be using your class abilities in our strategy so being prepared for that if needed is required!

Commitment to attendance: We raid around 6 hours a week. We need a commitment to respect each other's time and effort. Attendance is necessary and appreciated! Notice of absence as soon as possible allows us to adjust assignments and player rotation.

Progression Expectations:

You will need to show an above average understanding of your class! You will need to gear your character to keep up with what is possible with gearing, and you will be expected to have near 100% attendance! I am flexible on some attendance issues with ample communication :)

Coming to raid you will need to:

  1. Have a good understanding of each boss mechanic by reading the Dungeon Journal while also watching a video of PTR or any boss guides. Preferably multiple guides of each boss, not just 3 min strat guides!
  2. Look at our assignments and think about your assignment and your kit and look at what you may be doing for the fight; reconcile this with the videos you've watched!
  3. Ask or read about what your class can do on the fight or any "tech" around your class and the fights!
  4. Think about what spec people are running of your class and check/think a little bit about the CD timings for progression.

First night on the boss:

  1. Take Notes! of mechanics or transitions that are flustering you or making you feel like you're confused or not sure what you're supposed to do. Take note of any raid wipe mechanics and critical failure points. Think about how you will use your defensives. (we usually have timers for this but if you're not sure just ask)
  2. Vod Review. We will be doing a 10 min Pre-Raid Vod review if we feel people are struggling with a mechanic or misunderstanding a strategic goal. Record/stream yourself - watching yourself play allows you to catch mistakes you'd never notice in real-time.
  3. Pay attention when other people get a mechanic that you're supposed to learn. Think about where you would move with the mechanic if it were you. What you would do and plan it out - take the dps loss on the first night to just focus on the plan for when you get it.
  4. Be kind to yourself and be open to being critical of your own play. Focus on your improvement and your own stuff. Make sure you feel like you're doing the right thing on every pull.

Second Night on Boss:

  1. Review your logs, and your play via VOD.
  2. Min max your dmg alongside your movement
  3. Look for small mistakes that you can improve on
  4. Check your notes Channel for any personal notes from leadership!

What we are looking for:

We are going to look for your mechanical and fight knowledge! That you know what your class is doing and that you're aware of every mechanic for the bosses. We will look at your gearing effort!
