This week’s affixes are Tyrannical
, and Prideful
This combination of affixes is brutal for high keys - Bolstering slows down the trash section, and the bosses are also extended with the addition of Tyrannical. Necrotic then comes into the picture and makes both trash and bosses far more lethal to the tank. Fortunately, Prideful doesn’t interact with either Bolstering or Necrotic - it doesn’t gain or grant Bolstering stacks and it won’t stack Necrotic onto your tank. If you fail to drop combat before the Pride spawns, however, you will not lose your Necrotic stacks instantly like you normally do!
There are also a few important dungeon changes, primarily to Necrotic Wake but also to Plaguefall, Sanguine Depths, and Spires of Ascension. Read all of the changes on Wowhead
- we’ll also cover them in the specific dungeon sections below!
The Weekly Routes
Bolstering is inherently challenging in this dungeon, as most packs contain enemies of different health totals. One thing in particular to watch out for is the Risen Warlords
- if you don’t have a soothe, you will not be able to kill them until their enrage falls off, which will be lined up with several bolstering stacks making them very lethal.

This is generally one of the easiest dungeons to run, and this week is no different - just watch out for the tank picking up a bunch of Necrotic stacks on Echelon
if you silence the adds but don’t use other CC on them or kill them quickly!

This is a fantastic dungeon for the week - beside a few pulls near the end of the dungeon, there are few pulls that pose natural Bolstering problems, and as the only three boss dungeon in the expansion it’s a natural pick for Tyrannical week - just be ready to blast Ingra Maloch
or it can take a very long time.

This was a dungeon that received changes - the last boss, Margrave Stradama
now spawns much less threatening adds and casts less frequently in her last phase. This is a welcome Tyrannical change, but take note that all the bosses in here are still very deadly.

This dungeon saw nerfs this week to the first
bosses. Though the nerfs are relatively minor, they should help bring two of the hardest bosses in the expansion a little closer to the others. This is still one of the toughest Tyrannical dungeons.

The final three kyrian trash mobs at the end of this dungeon have been slightly nerfed - notably they will not proc Bolstering this week. This change will be felt more on Fortified weeks than Tyrannical, where the bosses remain unchanged but not among the hardest in the expansion - helpfully, every boss offers natural moments to drop Necrotic with.

This dungeon received the most changes by far this week - several different trash mobs were nerfed by varying amounts, and the weapons now persist through death - though they now split damage beyond 8 targets. This is all going to make the dungeon easier, and though the final change will impact the strategies used in the MDI going forward, it’s unlikely to affect many live key groups by much.

This dungeon is naturally quite easy to handle Bolstering in - most packs contain similarly sized enemies and not many of them. Be ready for some tough Tyrannical Necrotic boss fights, as many of the bosses melee quite hard - try to reset stacks as a tank when they start casting by creating some distance and kiting for a few seconds once they finish.
