This week’s affixes are
Tyrannical,
Raging,
Explosive, and
Prideful.
For high keys, this is a much tougher week than last, primarily due to Tyrannical continuing to be dramatically slower than Fortified as it has been in every season except BFA Season 1. In terms of difficulty at the Weekly Key level, this week shouldn’t be too tough, especially if you have an effect that can dispel raging (notably Rogues have gained
Shiv this expansion).
Explosive was changed fairly dramatically with the 9.0 patch which led to orbs generally being killed in one global when the affix was active towards the end of BFA - we’ll need to see to what extent that remains the case in Shadowlands but if it does that should combine with the fairly small average pull sizing in most pulls to keep Explosive headaches to a minimum, with a few exceptions.
As with last week, we’re offering two routes per dungeon - one simpler route without skips, and one with skips that sets up better Prideful timings and/or more efficient pulls.
The Weekly Routes
The appropriately named
Enraged Spirits must not be allowed to cast
Rage while they are Raging. You also need to make sure to line the
Drills - you should always do this but take extra care to avoid any ticks of damage while the mob is below 30%. Beyond Raging, Tyrannical is the operative affix - our Routes give Prideful onto all three of the wing bosses, for which you should also save cooldowns as these fights get very dangerous as they drag on.

De Other Side Dungeon Abilities.Tyrannical Halls features boss fights with brief critical moments which, if handled well, can make the rest of the encounters pretty simple. Raging
bears must not be allowed to melee your tank unless they are an invincible juggernaut, so either kite or CC them as they get low (or really after your tanks cooldowns are exhausted on pull).

Halls of Atonement Dungeon Abilities. With only three bosses, Mists of Tirna Scithe is always a good candidate for most feasible Tyrannical dungeon, though the
first boss is dramatically more challenging if it survives long enough to get through its full cast sequence each phase, which is very likely as the key level reaches the +15 level on Tyrannical.

Mists of Tirna Scithe Dungeon Abilities.Plaguefall’s timer is very lenient but the boss encounters and trash packs are technically difficult and require both throughput and finesse. You need to be careful with
the first boss to not let it eat any slimes, or it’ll almost certainly live long enough to cast a brutal double stomp combo. The
second boss can cause Explosive problems if you CC any slimes and then leave them alone, so make sure someone is watching out for that.

Plaguefall Dungeon Abilities.Tyrannical
Kryxis and
Tarvold are among the toughest throughput checks in the Shadowlands, so ensure you have all your cooldowns and Prideful for these encounters if the keystone level is at all challenging for your group. Raging
Overseers can be brutal if they get their
chains cast off, though this can be lined or quickly broken by using a movement ability to get away. Nuking them down before they cast is the ideal solution if you have the damage.

Sanguine Depths Dungeon Abilities.Kyrian players should grab the spears found throughout the dungeon and use one or both on the brutal final trash mobs as they enter their Raging windows (use both on
Klotos last if you pull them separately, or use one or both on the other two if you choose to fight those at the same time). Be ready for several difficult trash pulls that can become catastrophic if enemies are allowed to stay alive while Raging for long periods of time.

Spires of Ascension Dungeon Abilities.Tyrannical Necrotic Wake can be quite easy if you use cooldowns as well as the weapons found scattered throughout the dungeon - though if you wipe you’ll find the second attempt to be far more difficult without the weapon.

The Necrotic Wake Dungeon Abilities. We have a change to Prideful timings in the “with Skips” route this week (though technically there are no skips in this dungeon). This is accomplished with a double backtrack strategy wherein you’ll pull one trash pack from
Gorechop’s wing, clear the entire
Kul’tharok wing, pull one more trash pack from Gorechop’s, clear the entire
Xav wing, and then finally finishing off Gorechop. This facilitates Prideful onto all three of these bosses, and is recommended for high Tyrannical keys.
