On January 24th, 2017 we made our first post to the WoW subreddit asking people to check out the little website that we were working on. Back then we only ranked raid progress. It’s hard to believe there was a time when we didn’t have anything related to Mythic+ on the site!
It’s nearly 3 years later and we’ve come a long way in our development. At the core we are still a two-person team, but we’ve had many wonderful people within the community help us with a number of features, from the in-game AddOn, to tracking the MDI, to creating engaging content that we can share with our users, and more.
In addition to the people that helped with projects related to Raider.IO, there is another important group that made a big impact on us - our Patreon supporters. It’s heartening to see how much support we’ve received from the community. From day one our goal has been to create a tool that people like us (active WoW players) will find useful in some way. Looking at the sheer number of you that pledged to us since we started our Patreon page makes us feel both grateful and motivated. We want to continue to improve Raider.IO and prove that your faith in us is well placed!
We know that we haven’t been good about updating our Patreon page, and we're working to start improving that. In addition to keeping you more apprised of bug fixes and future updates, today we wanted to let our Patreon users be the first to have access to a new small feature on the site. Now if you embed your profile somewhere (Discord, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) it will show your character stats and a condensed preview image of your Raider.IO profile. Right now this preview image is shown only for characters of patrons while we are in our initial testing phase. Don't hesitate to reach out to us with your comments and criticisms. We love the feedback that pushes us to improve.
Also just for a little added perk we made a new patron-exclusive header design that can be used on character profiles and guilds! You can access the neon light header from your profiles under account settings.
