About Legacies

Legacies is an online community for adult gamers to come, relax and spend time with friends. We have two main rules: Guild First, and Respect for all.

**Guild First **

What this means to us is that the Guild always comes first in any decision making capacity. When we plan events, the mentality is to do something that will advance the guild as a whole. We want to work to help every member succeed in their time in the game. this also means that members get preference over pugs in groups and raids and events. Our goal is that the guild becomes your online family and we all strive to make each other better by not tearing each other down. Respect for All We don't ask that you agree with everything that everyone says. We ask that you respect that people may have differing opinions or skill sets. That doesn't make their opinion or skill set lesser, it makes it different and still valid. We don't call people out publicly for mistakes or call them demeaning names. We do try to help people get better but we dont force people to change things they dont want to change. We won't stand for bullying, elitism, or harassment of any kind in the guild.

**What is our Leadership Structure? **

We have two GMs. Devilishfury and Kickingjade are married and both run the guild. Our officers are people that have proven trustworthy and willing to work towards the goal of creating a community where we all succeed and enjoy the game for all its content. Officers are chosen by the GMs as need arises or as actions warrant. Officer positions will never be able to be bought. We consider the quid pro quo of donations for positions to be detrimental to guild relations. We also have a Squire positon. This is a Jr. Officer position in more of a consultant capacity. They have access to officer chat and business dealings, but don't have voting privledges.

Member ranks are on a time promotion system. Voyager is the new member position and people stay here for at least 24 hours. To be promoted to Explorer, they have to put their ilvl and spec in their notes and interact with the guild. Once this happens and 24 has passed, they will be promoted. We are not looking to have resource thieves destroy what we have worked towards. Explorer to Defender is after a month. Defender to Patron is after 2 months. We dislike chaotic promotion systems and this way everyone stays on track and understands where they stand. Patron rank was also given to members of the guild that we branched off from that followed us to create this one.

**Do we raid? **

Yes. Casually. Sunday nights at 7pm server for a max of 3 hours. We do not do progression raiding as we feel that progression raiding tears guilds apart as it becomes the primary focus of the guild. We will raid the current expansion raids on that night and it may change from week to week. We will also have no problem with bringing pugs in if we do not have enough to accomplish the raid for that night. Getting to know other people is a reasonable way to make new friends and gain new recruits. How does your bank work? The first tab of our bank is open to all members. The others are deposit only and if you need something, an officer can get it for you. We try to use donated resources for raid nights and for enchants and gear to help guildies.

**Why do we focus on Achievements? **

We are all playing a game. In a game, the person with the most points wins. We see the Achievement system as facilitating this goal. We view the Achievements as a mini to do list in the game and want to help both the guild and its members complete as many of these things as possible. At the same time, doing the Achievements helps us experience all 15 years of the content in the game. We feel that endgame does not represent all that the game has to offer.
